CHIMP ATTACK was made as part of 2025s’ ‘One page TTRPG challenge’. Where people are tasked with writing, designing and publishing an entire TTRPG on a single sheet of paper. CHIMP ATTACK was inspired by the infamous ‘Travis the Chimp’ incident of 2009. Where a woman kept an adult male chimp as a pet and abusing it by giving it Xanax and wine and forcing it to perform on film and in TV commercials. 

 

Eventually, this frustrated, drugged up, drunk and wild animal snapped and attacked her friend, ripping her face off in the process. (She lived)

 

To end the rampage, the police had to shoot Travis four times.

 

CHIMP ATTACK is a dark comedy game. But one created with a message about the treatment of chimpanzees in private captivity. A game of CHIMP ATTACK is always the same. Innocent chimps are abused, they lash out and are then killed by the authorities. For there is no other option both in real life and in the game. But ha ha funny monkey collect faces ha ha. Its not that deep if you, personally don’t want it to be. But its a subject matter I felt strong enough to make a TTRPG out of.

 

CHIMP ATTACK was made purely for the means of satire. I do not endorse the abuse and killing of chimpanzees and I most certainly do not endorse chimpanzees ripping peoples faces off.
